Koningskade 30 is an office building of 5,696 sqm spread over 6 floors. It was built in 2010 and was completely renovated in 2016 into a sustainable office building in collaboration with the tenant ABN Amro.
There are solar panels on the roof that generate energy. The temperature of the outside air is used at night and stored in the special ceilings that cool the building during the day. This technology provides an enormous energy reduction. The office is also equipped with smart LED lighting, which only switches on when necessary. The building is completely electric. No other fossil fuels are used to control the climate in the building.
Due to the structural and technical modifications, both at the hull level by Cromwell Property Group and at the tenant level by ABN Amro, the building has been made much more sustainable and the renovation has been rewarded with a BREEAM-NL Excellent certificate.
The building is on the edge of the Benoordenhout area, within walking distance of the Denneweg, Frederikstraat, Javastraat and Van Hoytemastraat with plenty of lunch and shopping options. The Hague Central train station is within walking distance. The stops of various bus and tram lines are in the immediate vicinity. The Koningskade is easily accessible by car via the main roads of The Hague and within a few minutes by car the motorways A12, A13, A4 and A44 are accessible.
